The North Carolina Legislative Black Caucus is an association comprised of 39 Senators and Representatives of African American, American Indian and Asian-American Indian heritage at the North Carolina General Assembly. 
The Caucus is organized as a vehicle to exercise unified political power for the betterment of people of color, and consequently, all North Carolinians, to ensure that the views and concerns of African Americans and other communities of color are carried out by their elected representative, and to work to develop the political consciousness of citizens of all communities and cultures.
